January is National Soup Month, which we feel is appropriate for the weather, especially in NH. Although any Mexican food will warm you right up, there’s something special about having a warm bowl of soup on a cold winter day. At Vallarta Mexican Restaurants in Manchester, NH, we know that our customers love our soups just as much as we do, so we’re going to highlight these menu items in honor of National Soup Month.
Caldo 7 Mares, or “Heat of the 7 Seas,” is the Vallarta spin on fish stew. We include a medley of boiled seafood, using shrimp, octopus, calamari, crab, and scallops. For the spice you expect from Mexican food, we serve it in a Mexican cocktail sauce. To enhance the flavor, we also add onions and jalepños. This one is our take on the traditional tortilla soup, a favorite of diners at Mexican restaurants everywhere. Our Aztec Soup is full of Mexican herbs and spices, which bring flavor to the vegetables and rice. Naturally, you can’t have tortilla soup without tortillas. Strips of fried tortilla top this soup to give it the satisfying crunch you expect. To finish it off, we sprinkle it with cheese and pico de gallo. It’s everything you love about Mexican food in a warm bowl of soup.
